I'm Richard Higginson and I'd like to represent you for another term on the Bountiful City Council. 

Until very recently I had intended to not run for another term. I was asked to run again by some of my council colleagues, neighbors, friends and some local business leaders.

With the city in the middle of a General Plan update, the pending Bountiful fiber network buildout, the possible loss of the Bamberger bridge and its southbound traffic capacity, the completion of Eagle Ridge Drive, ongoing trail development and the completion of Washington Park-among other weighty issues-it was easy to say yes.

During my time on the City Council, I have worked hard to make sure all voices are heard and as many as are interested can conveniently participate in the process.

I have spoken up and held the line on conservative principles and policies that keep Bountiful the unique and safe place it should be for individuals and families to thrive and enjoy the great quality of life we have come to expect. I believe I've been a steady hand at the wheel and that during my service on the council we have made Bountiful better.

Better for residents.
